We were thrilled to host the Witchery launch of the 2017 White Shirt Campaign on Wednesday, 5 April to an audience of leading fashion and media figures. The campaign is a fashion based initiative by Witchery, in support of the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
On arrival guests were welcomed with a White Shirt Spritz, a bespoke cocktail paying homage the collection of shirts, and enjoyed a custom menu created by the head chef of Trippas White Group; as they proudly united in white shirts, at Sydney’s Roslyn Packer Theatre to show their support for the cause. Guests were treated to a first look at this year’s White Shirt Collection, which was unveiled on a group of Tanya Pearson Academy dancers through three emotive, solo and contemporary dances. The performance was a visual interpretation of overarching campaign theme “Join the Fight” and demonstrated not only the fight against ovarian cancer, but the hope that is the spirit of this campaign. The Richard Wherret Studio was the perfect venue for the launch, with its exposed brick walls, arch windows and high ceilings lending even more drama to the dance piece.
For each white shirt sold during the campaign Witchery will donate everything except GST to the OCRF to help it towards its three-part mission: The development and implementation of an early detection program for ovarian cancer; improving the mortality rate, management and long-term survival of women with ovarian cancer; and gaining a fundamental understanding of the causes of ovarian cancer.
The collection of seven female shirts & one male shirt, along with three pieces of silver jewellery, is available online now at witchey.com.au and in Witchery stores throughout Australia and New Zealand.
